​John Marcus: A Voice for District 12

John Marcus is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville’s District 12 and a proud graduate of William M. Raines High School. His story is one of resilience, purpose, and unwavering dedication to the community he calls home. After surviving a life-altering accident that could have derailed his future, John chose not to give up. Instead, he transformed adversity into fuel for service, leadership, and personal growth.

From his early days on the basketball court to overcoming tremendous personal setbacks, John’s journey has shaped him into a leader defined by heart, grit, and integrity. His commitment to uplifting others is reflected in his active involvement in two impactful local organizations: The Better Dads Society, where he mentors young men and women across Jacksonville, and Silent Women Speaking, a group supporting mothers who have lost children to gun violence.

John also works closely with law enforcement through his role at Safariland LLC, building bridges between communities and police departments locally and around the world.

Now, John Marcus is running to represent District 12 with the same passion and perseverance that have guided his life. He understands the struggles everyday families face because he has lived them. He knows what it means to fight for better opportunities, and he is committed to being a strong voice for those who feel unheard.
